Business Visa documents as small entrepreneur on a buying trip

Could anyone please help me to right direction with documents needed for a Business Visa (Finnish/EU citizen, fully vaccinated) as a small-scale private entrepreneur. I have contacted the local embassy, but they were extremely vague if not outright unhelpful on how I should proceed other than Business Visa is still propbably my best bet when I explained the situation. I would be traveling to buy and export japanese merchandise and export it for reselling (have been doing this as a side-business on several trips, all on visa waivers pre-covid).

I understand the ERFS part and all other parts, but… I have one main question:

\- How should I get the invitation letter ( Letter of Reason for Invitation ) from Japan, if I have no regular business contact there, because the whole business model is about crawling second-hand stores and such, I am just another faceless customer for them. The only stable contact there is the Gaijin House host I’ve usually stayed in on my previous trips, but he has nothing to do with my business scheme.

If anyone could help me steer in right direction, I would greatly appreciate. Or say if Business Visa is not the right visa type for me after all..? Thanks.

  1. You’re not going to get a business visa trying to resell things from hardoff, just keep going under tourism.

Unless you’re actually trying to set up a business in which case you need min 50k capital, a business plan/why the business has to be in japan, and give employment to Japanese nationals.
