I’m not advocating scanning books in general, but given the enormous popularity of this out of print title that is extremely difficult to get ($400 plus for used copies), wouldn’t this be a case for an exception and be an asset to the Japanese learning community if someone who has this would scan it? No one would lose anything.

Wonder why these out of print dictionaries aren’t made into phone apps or bundled into electronic dictionaries.
