Keyboard Input

I’m coming here as a last resort, hoping this is the right subreddit for this question. Recently, I started using kana input on my windows 10 laptop. After putting on all of my hiragana stickers and opening notepad to test it out, I discovered that my tilde key automatically switches me from hiragana to romaji input, even while in kana input mode. This prevents me from using the ろ key, which is like using a keyboard without an A. I have scoured the internet to find ways to disconfigure this hotkey and have found nothing. Is there anyone here who has had this situation before and fixed it somehow?

Any help is appreciated!!

  1. there are a lot of IMEs out there that let you type in romaji with a standard keyboard. that’s what i do. that’s what the japanese natives at the bank where i work do even for their own japanese interfacing with software.
