Can you teach english and go to language school?

I’m looking but I can’t really find any info on this. Based on the limited knowledge I have already, I THINK it might be a no. But that seems kinda dumb. I know you can’t work over a certain number of hours if you’re on a student visa going to language school. But if you have a visa for work then idk. And would that even work out? Would there be significant scheduling conflicts? Or would there be companies that would accomodate you?

  2. Short answer: Yes.

You can work up 28 hours per week on a student visa. See the past threads on [**”working on a student visa**”](https://www.reddit.com/r/movingtojapan/search?q=working+on+a+student+visa&restrict_sr=on&include_over_18=on). Note that language schools are very, very strict on attendance (because Immigration checks attendance records).

“Accommodate”? Japanese companies are by-the-rules kind of places as far as being nice to employees. That said, many *eikaiwa*/English teaching jobs are after language schools closing hours. YMMV.
