Help to give a tattoo to a friend

2. Best advice is to just not get a tattoo in a language you don’t understand.

3. I’d figure just “U N R I V A L E D” in relatively small letters and a clean font down your spine would be pretty cool

I’m being completely serious here – is your friend some type of cage fighter (mma, ufc, etc…) I’ve noticed quite a few fighters that have really tattoos like this that i, as a japanese person, feel is not actually very cool – but to each his own. Maybe they’ll have another think about it and come up with a better idea that doesn’t involve kanji.

8. Typically, you wouldn’t get hiragana tattooed on your body. Mainly kanji, and it would most likely be read in chinese instead of japanese in my personal opinion. So your best bet is for your friend to get a single kanji. For example, i wouldn’t tell a female friend to get “love for heaven and earth” in japanese. Yea, I understand japanese to a good degree, but it’s not enough, so I’d recommend her to get 愛 instead. But you should check out the translate subreddit though

9. Personally, I dislike written tattoo (on me of course) in any language. Why not find an animal/figure/shape that reminds you of values you want to push forward? Tattoos are for yourself, not for others (to read). Also, if written, it removes the personnal value of the drawing. (Imo)

   Edit: I know you asked for a friend, but im saying generally.

   Side note : this reminded me of the “Free” tattoo. 無料 instead of 自由. You could argue that 無料 looks cooler as a tatoo tho.
