3d printing in Japan

Hi, I want to print something I downloaded from internet and, since is just for Hobby and first time, I would like to do it somewhere instead of buying a 3d print machine.

Does anyone knows where I could go for getting the job done in Tokyo?

Thanks!

  1. CAINZ DIY Square has 3D printers: https://diy-square.cainz.com/ You can search by the nearby shop which has a printer: https://diy-style.cainz.com/factory

Most hacker/makerspaces will as well. Some co-working spaces will. You’ll need to call/contact them yourself or check out equipment listed on the website.

You can also upload data to DMM:Make and they’ll print and ship it back to you. Not cheap but quality is excellent.

  2. I had some small stuff too and used PCBway. They specialize in PCBs but have really cheap 3D printing services too. It takes a bit of time since they’re based in China but I got two 5x5x3cm items printed for only $17 (shipping included). If you don’t mind the time it takes then this site is definitely way cheaper than anything else I’ve found that’s based in Japan.

  3. Hey I have a printer! I can print it for you for pretty cheap, I’ve done prints for other people in Tokyo before.
Dm me and I can calculate how much and how long it will take to print what ever you have.

  4. Is that like getting a 3D figurine printed of a person to take home as a keepsake? I’ve had that done for my son, twice.
