How to correct my sentences?

I dare say I’ve gotten somewhat far in learning Japanese now and would like to try writing some simple sentences. The problem is that I don’t really know how I should correct them, I don’t just wanna randomly choose something as I will probably be using this for a long period of time to check if my sentences are correct.

Any recommendations of any fitting websites?

  1. Not the most rigorous or reliable way, but I like to put my sentences in DeepL. If it manages to translate them to what I wanted to mean in English, I assume my sentence is acceptable, if it doesn’t make sense or is off, I’ll check my grammar again and make changes.

  2. Get a human to check. I like to use LangCorrect for this. It’s free but the catch is that you’re expected to correct other people as much as you get corrections.

  3. Bunpo-check.com is a helpful tool, I use it to check my sentences. You can search around reddit for some discussions on it. It tells you where your sentences have grammar mistakes (if any). Apparently it’s quite good at picking up clear-cut mistakes, but often won’t pick up awkward wording if it’s not technically wrong.

  4. As an English learner, I often use Hello Talk and HiNative to ask people there to correct my English ☺️
