  1. Gotta get carrots next time, I think sweet potato or butternut squash would be good too. Makes me want curry, I used to make it all the time! Great job 😁

  2. I think it would be a good idea to add fukujinzuke or rakkyo-zuke to the rice as a chutney.

  3. Hey guys. I always make a beef stew first. Here’s the recipe.
Chop onion. Fry slow in oil. In casserole/heavy pan.
Add garlic. How ever much you like.
(You can add a tsp water if the onion is browning too fast.)
Chop stewing beef into cubes. Cover in seasoned flour.
Add to onions and bang the heat up till they go brown.
Peel potatoes peel carrots. Chop and add them.
Boil a kettle. Add the hot water to cover it all.
    Add beef cube.
Turn heat down. Or put in the oven at 160ish.
Cook for as long as you can. 3 hours in oven is perfect. Then you can just leave it.
Take it out and put the roux cube in.
Serve with rice and silver skin pickled onions.
    👍

  4. I’m a very much DIY kind of cook. Hell, I made my own buttermilk earlier for scones.

But goddamn if I don’t love me some S&B curry blocks.
