The coverage of this story is all over the place. Some articles are framing it as the MoD being prepared to shoot down the actual satellite, whereas from what I can gather the plan is only to target debris from the rocket itself. At least I hope that’s the case.
Would be a little hypocritical to cry “foul” given the 15+ spy satellites Japan has launched to watch over NK. That and the widespread outrage when Russia shot down one of their own satellites, with people claiming they were “weaponising space” and putting the ISS at risk.
