Kindle books question

Hello guys. I know this is not ok but the Japanese amazon doesn’t let me buy novels and I desperately want to read and study. Can you suggest from where i can get novels and transfer them to my kindle?

  1. Kindle will soon accept epub, so you should be able to buy ebooks from wherever and export to your Kindle. I think that they will start supporting epub this fall.

  2. I made an account on amazon.co.jp, set a Japanese address, and bought a book with an international credit card. Then I had to jump through some hoops to get the book into my kindle without losing the books I already had.

What happens when your try to buy a book? Do you get an error message? If you do, maybe posting it here could help us help you.

  3. I just used the address from tenso.com to set up an Amazon Japan account and I just buy kindle books. I did have to set up a different email and use the kindle app on my iPad to read them. You can’t have two accounts on one device unfortunately. But that works well for me. If it’s about payment, there should be an option to pay in dollars or yen at checkout. I paid in yen the first time and had to verify it with my bank. But if you pay in USD and let Amazon take care of the exchange rate then I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
