Chrome extension that enlarges only Kanji

Hi, I am fine with katakana and hiragana, but am struggling to correctly identify kanji, I can make the font of everything bigger, but it makes it cumbersome to read English text, katakana and hiragana. Anyone got any ideas of how I could enlarge only Kanji, or a chrome extension that might manage it?

Thanks!

  1. On your computer, there is probably an accessibility feature that allows you to create a magnifying area. This might be your best bet because I doubt there is that specific chrome extension that you seek.

  2. Maybe there is some extension request subreddit, where you could ask someone to make this extension?
It shouldn’t be too difficult to make this for somebody who has experience in making extensions.
Sadly, I myself don’t really know how to do it, but maybe I’ll look into it if I have some time.

  3. Don’t discount getting your eyes checked too, wearing classes if needed makes it easier to distinguish kanji rather than just looking at a giant blur

  4. I whipped this together because I liked your idea a lot. It’s pretty shoddy but should do what you are looking for at the most basic level. If there are any programmers here that would want to help make this better, feel free.

  5. If you use Chrome, there is an extension called rikaikun. It is not exactly what you are asking for but it lets you mouse over any kanji, or Japanese word, and see the kanji, reading, and meaning. There are settings for it but I never touched them. There are equivalents on other browsers.

  6. There’s an open source extension for Chrome called Wudooh that does that for Arabic. It might be possible to adapt it for a different range of Unicode characters.
