Maybe post in a city sub, or at least mention what part of the country you’re in….
I paid up for one of those English speaking physios. You can literally just google for them. But if it really is muscle pain and not joint/bone issues, I recommend them instead.
Went to a couple of Japanese orthopedic clinics in more than one prefecture (there’s a story behind that, but I won’t get into it) and they did x-rays and I even got an MRI, turned up with nothing but bad posture. Told me to do exercises that are basically stretches, take long baths, and relax. Nothing worked.
First visit to one of the non-insurance physios and I get diagnostic tests that blow everything else out of water and an exercise regime that isn’t just stupid stretches and go take baths every day. I’ve been trying to stretch and relax for months now and it does jack. Long road to recovery still, but so far worth every penny.
Sorry it’s not a direct answer but that’s been my experience… I have another friend who’s been through the Japanese system for a knee that’s gone through multiple surgeries and they go to the same physio because their experience with physical therapy elsewhere has been so dismal as well.
