Transferring money to Yuucho bank account

Hello,

I need to transfer money to my Yuucho bank account from my Australian bank account so I can make a bank transfer. Can I do this via PayPal?? or is the only way to do a overseas remittance in USD?

  1. PayPal is one to do it, but they have absolutely horrible exchange rates so it can end up being extremely expensive depending on the amount of the transfer. If you decide to do the PayPal way you will probably have to open a Japanese PayPal account to link your Yuucho to it. Transfer from your AUS PayPal account to your JP PayPal, then send from JP PayPal to your Yuucho.

    As an alternative electronic transfer method, you might want to look at Wise.com. The rates are usually going to be a lot better than PayPal’s, but you should check about availability for Australia and do your own calculations on fees to make sure.

  2. What does your Australian bank offer in terms of international transfers?

    In my experience it’s fairly easy to transfer money into a Japanese account from abroad. Difficult to transfer money out of Japan though.
