For those who finished Pimsleur, what did you do after to continue studying in a similar manner?

I’ll be finishing Pimsleur 5 soon, and I’m a big fan of the format. For others who finished and liked the format, what did you do to continue your progress?

I am already doing Wanikani for kanji, and speak with a tutor for one hour per week. Im not very good at sitting down and reading textbooks, though I am slowly working through Genki!

I know Pimsleur doesn’t work for some, but I personally really liked it! Any recommendations are appreciated 🙂

  1. Lmao wow I’m literally in the same position except I’m just about done level 3.

I’d continue with the tutor so you can get better with the grammar. Pimsleur for me has been an amazing primer. So learning grammar has been a bit easier since I’ve heard the sentence structures from Pimsleur.

Anyways, when I’m done Pimsleur 5 I’m going to start sentence mining as I would’ve learned 2000 words by then which is a good amount to start watching some really simple animes (I’ll be watching one called Teasing Master Takagi san and mining from that)

It requires a discussion on its own but Google “refold sentence mining.”

  2. I got them free through audible as a member. So I guess not really free free so to speak. I like the course, sometimes I get a little bored and would rather immerse elsewhere but it does force me to output so I use it for that.
