I’ve taken a look at old posts in this area and can’t seem to find much info.
I’m looking to hopefully and eventually apply under ‘Advanced Specialised / Technical Activity) which I believe fits engineering/IT better.
Right now I’m a few points shyer as I’m getting older, so wondering about the ‘Special Additions’ section – “Holders of foreign work-related qualifications/awards, etc,, recognised by Japan’s Minister of Justice” section.
Does anyone know where I can find out what would be constituted and relevant as an engineer sorry?

Those were the only points i was denied in application (citing industry specific awards and certifications), but i still ended up well above the threshold. I would advise “it can’t hurt” to apply for as many points as someone might grant you.
