I need a 60x60x60cm box to send this humongous Psyduck plush to a friend abroad, but couldn’t find a big enough box? Do I just make an amalgam box myself or is there anywhere I can get them from? I went to IKEA but they don’t sell ‘em there
While I can’t give a specific answer for your region, your postal office should sell cardboard boxes if you can’t find any alternatives. Good luck!
The largest 200 size box I see on amazon is 66 66 by 55. Any chance you could crush it a bit?
If not just make like an extruded lid.
Despite being light, I feel that’s going to be crazy expensive to ship due to the dimensions. Would you be able to vacuum seal it to a smaller size before shipping?
If it’s a plush, you can probably safely crush it to a much smaller size.
Have you tried putting it in a vacuum-pack bag and sucking out the air? If it’s stuffed, it should be able to be compressed.
I mean if you buy plushes online they’re squished to a fraction of their size and they’re fine.
Thanks to everyone who shared their advice and taking some time to comment; I’ve decided it’s too much of a pain to find a box that fits the dimensions, so I shall make one myself. I’ll attach a photo of said duck along with a 1L green dakara bottle filled with rooibos for scale
Check with a moving company… they often have a variety of box sizes
Google 包装用品 and find the nearest wrapping supply store. If you are near Asakusabashi Shimojima is a great store,
Have you tried your local konbini? Every time I need boxes large orl small, my local Lawson lets me rummage through there box dump at the back and take any for free.
Post it via kuroneko and they have boxes when you go to drop it off – or they’ll bring one to your door.
UHAUL – Gaylord boxes…
We were able to take huge boxes from the drug store when we moved. Try asking a drug store, grocery store, konbini etc for free boxes?
You can buy fairly big boxes at the post office. Or how about checking the closest super market? Costco always has big boxes laying around too.
