I tried the subscribing to free trial of Audible.co.jp but as it was region-locked. Maybe geographically, through card-based location, or entered billing address. I am not sure. There are posts a year ago about this but it is not applicable for the current website. There are also answers from other subreddit but it is not helpful.
This is what I tried earlier. I entered a card with billing address from my current location. It says that there is a problem in the card. After that, I entered another card this time a fake address from Japan. It says “please try again later”. My card has been charged a small amount to determine the card so I thought it was okay but the free trial did not succeed. The transaction was not refunded. Now, I cannot see the button for ï¿¥0 Free Trial. All I can see is to buy the audiobook individually. Maybe they have blocked my account entirely in subscribing?
Is there anyone of you able to successfully enter a credit card overseas and still using Audible up to this day? Or do you buy individual audiobooks rather than subscribing?
I just want to try Audible since there is exclusive light novels there. I wanted to listen to the audiobook while reading the digital book.

It works for me, I set the billing address to Japan, and I think used a VPN when I first signed up. Maybe you could try signing up with a different credit card and maybe try signing up through audibles site instead of Amazon? The card that’s been working for me is a capital one card, maybe some cards are less strict about having the wrong address
