3. I had a lot of trouble with ramen and drink vending machines accepting my 500 Yen coins though. Not sure why.

5. I think there is a begin Japanology episode or something on YouTube that goes over yen. It showed watermarks and things. That’s where I heard about the ridges. It’s really neat!
