Hand signed letter of recommendation (UK JET application)

So I received an email earlier saying JET can’t accept one of my reference letters because it’s not in the correct format and that it needs to be ‘hand-signed’. I’m not sure what this means as JET sent my referees links to submit their references electronically, so how can they be hand-signed?

Any help would be appreciated.

  1. By hand signed, they mean they want you’re referees to scan their reference, so first to write the reference up online, print it out and sign by hand, then scan on the printer into a PDF form to then email over to JET. Hope this helps.

  2. I’m not sure my referees did this and i haven’t received and e-mail.

is that a bad sign for me?
