Some background info: I will be alone the first few days of my trip. My boyfriend will arrive on day 4 and leave on day 12. Thus, I will be alone the beginning and end of the trip. I am getting a 14 day JR pass starting day 8 for Kyoto while he will be getting a 7 day pass. We are both really into music so are trying to get a concert and/or music bar in.
I know some days are pretty busy, haha. But I work in healthcare and walk all day every day and both of us love to pack things in to get the most of our experiences. We are both young and in good shape. But if certain days are exceptionally ridiculous please let me know. Or if there’s a good/better way to organize a certain day please let me know!

Tokyo
• Day 1 in Tokyo – Ikebukuro, Meiji Shrine \[day=shopping, Pokemon store, food (onigiri spot nearby) and relaxed sight-seeing, night= chill night out in Harajuku/Shinjuku OR in Shimokitazawa (Analog bar?) if energy)
• Day 2 in Tokyo – Koto City \[day= Teamlab planets 9-12, go to Shibuya and walk around, night= go out in Shinjuku/Harajuku\]
• Day 3 day trip to DisneySea
• Day 4 in Tokyo – \[Boyfriend arrives\] \[day=Shibuya crossing + Shinjuku shopping/exploring, Hachiko statue. Night= go out to electronic bar\]
• Day 5 day trip Mt Fuji – \[day= Kamakura + Hakone OR north shore of Lake Kawaguchiko for views and Chureito pagoda. \*Which direction we go depends on weather\*. If cloudy, we will go to Hakone. If the weather seems to be clear, then we will go to the lake. Night= possibly see XinU at Daikanyama Unit\]
• Day 6 in Tokyo – Asakusa and Akihabara \[AM: Tsukiji fish market early, then Sensoji temple and walk around, then Ueno park. Evening= Akihabara for retro arcade games, dinner nearby\]
• Day 7 in Tokyo – Tokyo Tower and Roppongi \[AM= see Tokyo tower. Lunch at Kien. Then go to imperial palace and explore around. Night= Nice Omakase for dinner)

Kyoto
• Day 8 in Kyoto – \[Day= travel via Shinkansen. Go to a chill tea house. Night= a chill dinner and rest\]
• Day 9 day trip to Ghibli park \[Day= Ghibli park. Night= go to dinner in Osaka, then train back to Kyoto for sleep\]
• Day 10 in Kyoto – \[Day = bamboo grove and garden in early AM (8-10ish), then golden pavilion, then monkey park. Gio-ji Temple (if time) Night= dinner\]
• Day 11 in Kyoto – \[AM= “A happy pancake” for fluffy pancakes. DAY= walk though Fushimi Inari Taisha, pop by Kyoto tower, then walk through Geisha district. Look at knife shop in Pontocho area. Night = Dinner in Pontocho alley\]

Osaka
• Day 12 in Osaka – \[Boyfriend leaves\] \[day= castle, Nipponbasji, and Muromon market. Night = dinner\]
• Day 13 day trip to Nara \[day= deers, garden, wooden Todai-ji, Kasuga-taisha, get hand pounded mochi from Nakatanidou. Night = Minima/dotonbori street food for dinner\]
• Day 14 day trip to Kobe \[Day = garden, sake museum, Kobe beef for lunch somewhere, port tower, Night= dinner in Osaka\]
• Day 15 in Osaka – \[day= sky building, Shinsekai district, Shitennoji temple. Night= Kuromon market\]

Hiroshima
• Day 16 – Atomic bomb dome, peace park, garden if energy
• Day 17 – Day trip to Miyajima Island from Hiroshima

Beppu
• Day 18- Travel to Beppu \[Day= early AM travel, then do Beppu Onsen in afternoon. Night = dinner nearby\]
• Day 19- Onsen and Travel \[Day=Onsen until 4 pm, get food and head to ferry. Night = 7 PM overnight ferry to Osaka\]

Okinawa
• Day 20 – travel to Zamami from Osaka
• Day 21 Zamami Beach day, dinner nearby
• Day 22 Beach day, dinner nearby

Travel
• Day 23 Travel Home

While we’re here, I also would love recommendations on a place for a tasty Omikase \*dinner\* that’s \~22,000 yen or less a person. Bonus points if its in/around Roppongi, Akihabara, or Shinjuku areas but open to other areas! Also extra bonus points if it happens to have a Michelin star but definitely not necessary at all.
Also if there’s any electronic (house/techno) bars/venues that are good, would love recommendations on those!
And if anyone happens to be going to DisneySea on June 1st and wants to make a new friend from California let me know haha 🙂 I (30F) will be going alone.
