I thought I would be helpful to my wife and add her Suica card to Apple Pay. What I didn’t know was that doing so would render the physical card unusable.
My wife was really emotionally attached to the card and had been using it for 15 years. She is ultra-pissed at me right now. Is there any way that it can be used again?
(Ignore title, was typing in a hurry and accidentally typed down the wrong card. She has a Suica card.)

Wow, 15 years? My Pasmo card is coming up to 10 and is battered to the point I’m surprised it still works, but the only reason I still have it is laziness.

Not sure how one can be emotionally attached to a Suica, but sorry for her, RIP to that card, it’s not coming back from the phone.
15 years is a long time. Try to ask Suica support to check if they could help in any way.
