Hello all,
I am brand new to Reddit, so apologies if this is not the correct avenue for going about this following question.
I want to learn more about how one can get a personal loan by a large Japanese bank. How hard is it to usually do this? What is a decent expected interest rate on said loan if you have good credit history, a “high-paying” job, have been a resident in Japan for at least 10 years, and is no older than 50 years old? Just curious, thank you!

Are you Japanese?
Except PR IMHO is not possible
This is kind of a general subreddit for Japan. If you are indeed a resident then you will likely get better results at a sub like /r/JapanFinance
Consider this a message from your future self.
Don’t borrow money.
Don’t give up your future freedom for money.
If you have permanent residency then it isn’t too hard. However, if you don’t there are only very specific banks that offer it and usually there’s a limit on how much you can get.
