How to come back after a break.

I’m moving to Japan for work/living long term in August. I really want to be as fluent as possible when I get there (I know it won’t be much) but I have a ton of free time to study now. Anyways, I just got finished with being sick for nearly 2 weeks where I didn’t feel well enough to study, I come back to kanji koohi to practice my kanji and the revision pile is massive and I fail almost all of them. This is so frustrating since I’ve studied for hours a day for a month to get to this point and now it all feels completely pointless.

How do you go back to it after a big setback?

  1. 2 weeks is nothing, I came back after ~10 years! You just do it, you pick it up and you keep going.

  2. I came back after fifteen years. These few months are more about getting into the groove, the real learning starts once you’re here so don’t stress over flash cards etc just enjoy
