Bringing Antique to Japan (Permit?)

I inherited a pre-war antique from Nagasaki. Nagasaki bekkou.
Located in the United States, I was wondering if anyone had any information on what I would have to do to bring this antique back into Japan when I move.

  2. Okay, I think I found the answer to my own question. Had to switch gears and search the correct question.

    [Japan Customs Restricted Items](https://livejapan.com/en/article-a0002825/)

“To import these items it require documents designated by the Washington Convention such as a permit from the exporting country and an import approval certificate by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.”

  3. I’m assuming they key point is that the goods are made from highly controlled items, not the fact that it is an antique item.
