Just wanted to tell you guys, it’s done. The Old & Mystic Core 10K deck is no more. Now mainly Immersing through Novels.

Novels Read in no Particular Order till now – Kafka’s Castle, Crime & Punishment (Masao Yonekawa Translation), Snow Country, The Wind Up Bird Chronicles, Kafka’s Metamorphosis, Kokoro, No Longer Human, etc.
Good job! Just remember that if you’re not fully immersed, “completing” it is just the first step! To internalize what you’ve learned, you have to continue the spaced repetition for a long time, no matter how quickly you did the initial completion, to move what you’ve learned from your short-term memory to your long-term memory.
How difficult is reading for you now? What genres can you breeze through? Which ones still pose a significant challenge?
Do you hove some kind of extraordinary memory abilities? I think even if I studied Anki literally all day and did nothing else I don’t think I would be able to do 120 cards a day.
You’re insane but by god do I respect it.
Also, FSRS4Anki seems incredible, can’t believe I’m only finding out about it now. Were you doing anki without it before, and if so, how big of a difference was the retention rate and amount of cards you were doing?
can you share some memnomics? i never used them . so im interested in your examples. any examples. thanks
Similar to what I did but without all the optimization – very nice work. I averaged about 150-170 a day when I did my grind, but I was N3 already with RTK – being able to just casually read is the greatest thing of such a grind.
Any chance of getting your modified deck with the mnemonics? Would definitely save some people (including me) a lot of time 😂
