Finding your first apartment and struggling through the approval process is part of the fun. Go search for real estate agents – plenty of them offer some form of English services.
I would definitely recommend a share house. The fees are minimal, though you’ll need to book at least one month. Sakura or Bamboo are both … fine? There’s a lot of variance involved in the quality of share houses but it’ll be a place to sleep and take a shower at least.
Google is your friend a bit on what is the best one, and it’s a bit dependent on your job. If you’re very price sensitive you might be able to get away with living pretty far out at first.
