Advice on design job

Soooo I’m thinking to leave the company I work at, we recently started a side gig where we sell leftover fabric online. I did some good pattern designs for the fabric and I wanna take them with me. What kind of lawyer should I talk to and also do you think I have grounds to take my designs with me if I leave?

  1. If you made those designs while working, they don’t belong to you. They belong to the company. No lawyer is going to help you.

  2. Who owns the leftover fabric? Is it the company’s? You aren’t entitled to take any company property upon leaving so all that fabric belongs to them.

As for artwork created for a company, if it isn’t copyrighted or trademarked, then you can draw the artwork elsewhere.
