Planning to shift to Japan. I’m chronic hepatitis b positive with 0 viral load I take my viral load medicine and healthy liver.
Are there any challenges with medication, how expensive are hep b test, liver function test etc.
Any issues which could arise in immigration?

I found this study:

It’s a bit depressing.
>Conclusion
>We qualitatively and quantitatively demonstrated that employment-related hardships and daily life suffering are prevalent in people with HBV. Their likelihood of experiencing distress in daily life increases with increasing medical expenses, insecure employment status (e.g., job loss) attributable to HBV, and the resulting poverty.
I don’t know what a Hep B test entails, but I have blood work every 6 weeks that includes liver panel, lipids, and blood glucose and the out-of-pocket cost for the test is 1510 yen.
Edit: Just as a point of data, one municipality’s public health offers Hep B tests for 3100 yen.
