Made some shrimp tempura rolls 🍤


Hadn’t made sushi in a decade but had a craving so we went for it. Spicy mayo, avocado, cucumber, and gulf shrimp. Also made one salmon avocado roll to mix it up.

Rice was a little less fluffy than I’d like, and a bit crumbly, but mostly worked. Advice welcome!

  1. Looks good. Is that shrimp coated in panko? If so, that’s ebi-furai, not tempura (which is a batter). Looks like a tasty roll either way!
