I often see there’s a sentence/question with that pattern. For example: 熱でもあるの？
Can you please explain what the function of this でも is? And how does it change the nuance of the sentence?

I think when being translated in this context, it’s roughly means “or something”. So “Do you have a fever or something?”
there is no pattern for the pair
でも can mean “or something”
お茶でも飲まない？ won’t you have some tea or something?
