I just found an interesting, japanese youtube channel focused on history and art history, though it’s mostly western related. I thought I’d share it since their videos are great immersion content.
They have captions in japanese and english, their voice is clear and understandable, and for anyone interested in history they’ll be familiar stories.
Here’s the channel: https://www.youtube.com/@darksanchannel4431
Edit: Also anyone that has good channels with captions, feel free to share them! I find it’s incredibly hard to come across japanese content that isn’t hard subbed.

This one goes to my bookmarks, thanks for sharing!
Damn that’s great, it’s more akin to what I’d usually watch in English. Thank you for sharing!
You can use captionpop to search for videos with Japanese subtitles

What’s the problem with hardcoded subs? I mean, you can always ignore them.

I’ve been watching Masaru for years! It’s different, but interesting lol
I have a channel where I interview Japanese bands and musicians, and I always add Japanese and English soft subs: https://www.youtube.com/@angura_live
