What’s the difference in connotation between 「今回」and「今度」?

Going through Wanikani currently while doing Genki I with a tutor, so I’m not yet ready to understand the nuance between these two words by seeing them in action through native media. Wanikani phrases the explanation of 「今度」oddly by saying it’s like you’re saying “this time” but MEAN “next time,” which is hard to wrap my head around. Could I get a little more explanation of the distinction between these two words and 「次回」? Thank you!

    今度 seems to used in a sense of ‘this time, we’re doing this’, ‘this time we’re doing that’. It implies that we’re doing something different on the same occassion, like a TV program for travelling, where every week they’re looking at different places.

    今回 seems to imply that what we’re doing is the same as always, something like ‘thanks for visiting again this time’ kind of feeling.

    I’d think 今回 as also meaning ‘again’, and 今度 as also meaning ‘now’.

    Ofc I’m not an expert and this is just how I imagine it.
