Anyone with an allergy to gluten, dairy, garlic, onion, and generally FODMAP only foods have any advice for finding ingredients/food in Japan?
Before anyone says it, it’s already extremely hard to do this in my home country so I mostly eat Japanese food anyway since it has less of all these things anyway. Just need advice on what stores and restaurants might be better.
Also, I’ll be based more than likely in Tohoku or Hokkaido.

Been on a low FODMAP diet. According to my doctor, you’re only supposed to limit FODMAPs for about two months.
In your case, I’d suggest buying groceries at your local supermarket and cooking your own meals. As for eating out, Japan isn’t a gluten-free friendly country. It’s easy to avoid dairy as long as you stick to traditional Japanese dishes.
I hope this helps. This is coming from someone with fucked up guts as well
