  2. There’s a comment on the article, where the person’s complaining about Japan’s safety, which included foreigners in the mix. I guess it must be the first time the person commenting is hearing about huge crimes happening in Japan. I guess the The 300 million Yen robbery in 1968 was committed by foreigners then, not forgetting Shoyo Wakabayashi, who tried to rob a bank with a knife in Sapporo bank in 2022. Sounds foreign to me. Some idiots here really live in glass house and cannot fathom that their kinsmen can be criminal.

  3. Wow, that’s a pretty big heist! I hope the police catch those thieves soon and recover the stolen items. It’s a shame when hardworking businesses like a watch store have to suffer such a loss at the hands of criminals. Hopefully, this incident will serve as a reminder for them to beef up their security measures and prevent future robberies. Stay safe out there, everyone!

  4. Someone could have just stuck an umbrella in the door handles but then the driver would have been an issue as well

  5. Super amateur. Can’t be dilly dallying that long during a daytime heist

  6. amateur hour, looks like they didnt even practice on GTA online before planning this

id bet there’s even an amazon prime order for 3 guy fawkes masks in the greater tokyo area placed in the last week that links them to this fiasco

  7. On a different crime topic. Did the police ever capture the Frenchman that punched that woman? I haven’t seen or heard anything about it.

  8. Incredible to see they still have zero security in place in this day and age.

  9. I bet it’s an insurance scam! This seemed way too uncoordinated to be a heist.

  10. Reminds me of San Francisco minus catching or prosecuting the criminals

  11. Until the stolen watches are recovered, this plan seems like a success. Get a bunch of lower dudes to take the fall, get arrested, and pay them when out. For 4-5 people ~740k in hot watches doesn’t seem worth it though.
