3 Days in Tokyo Itinerary: Check and Question

I thought I had planned things out well, but after not getting the reservation times we wanted and shuffling around the schedule for when my son naps I realized the Itinerary got out of hand. I was hoping some of the more experienced travelers could help us see if this itinerary is still doable. We are trying to do a little bit of everything since we are limited on time and we are leaving in less than 2 weeks.

Questions:

1. If I plan to go to the Senso-ji and Asakusa-jinja Shrine would I miss out by skipping Meiji Jingu Shrine and Yoyogi Park?
2. We have reservations for Shibuya Sky Already, so would it be more beneficial to skip the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building to visit Shinjuku? or maybe Ueno Park?
3. My son and I are big anime and super sentai/Kamen rider fans so it sounds like we should aim to spend a lot of time in Akihabara, but is getting there at 6 PM one of our days enough time?

  1. With regards to question 3: I believe many stores (e.g. Super potato, Mandarake, Retro game camp) in Akihabara close at 8PM so if you’ll arrive at 6PM that gives you just two hours. I spend a whole afternoon there (and I am just into video games, not into anime) and still felt like I could have spent several more hours there. Just so you know 🙂 Have fun!
