Does the Working Holiday Visa require a Job sponsorship?

Hi Everyone!

I’m getting mixed answers, so was hoping someone might know.

I am Canadian, and looking to apply for the Working Holiday Visa for Japan. The Visa Application Form has a field for Certificate of Eligibility No. It seems as though this number comes from a work sponsor or school sponsor.

So does anyone know if this is a requirement ?

  2. It’s not required. You shouldn’t have a job lined up anyways if you’re applying for a WHV.
