Cert III CNA/PCW in Australia. Does my qualification count in Japan as a Kaigo?

Hey MtJ!

I’m a qualified personal care worker in Australia. I have a certificate III in Aged care. Would my qualification be considered enough by Japanese employers? I know there is a formal certification in Japan that takes a longer time to achieve, but I’d prefer not to do the diploma and just get straight to work. I’ve had seven years experience, if that counts.

I only ask because I’ve tried to search for information regarding my TAFE qualification, but had no luck finding anything regarding how my cert III would be considered. Can anyone offer any insight regarding Kaigo work/qualifications?
