There’s a strong possibility I’ll be going to Japan to present research at a conference, and I’d like pay for good online Japanese lessons before I go. Is Preply good, or are there better options?
I use preply. I think it is very dependent on the teacher. Read the reviews and try out a few teachers if you need to
iTalki is better IMO.
What you’ll get out of tutoring websites depends on the tutor, not the website. I recommend looking around and finding a teacher that works with your learning style.
If I remember correctly, Preply uses certified teachers, so I imagine the teachers are skilled, but I also would assume that each teacher will have their own way of doing things.
I really like Nihongopro. Small selection of prevetted native, certified teachers and I’ve never been disappointed.
