Hi there! I am looking for a job in Tokyo (I have my Bachelors in Art History) and my husband is a content creator and makes money from YouTube. If we move and I get a working visa will he have to stop doing YouTube? I know you cannot get a working visa as a content creator before you move there, so I’m wondering how this works? Does anyone have experience with this situation? Thanks!

If you get a job in Japan (I assume you’re not a Japanese National), your husband can come over on a dependent visa. The dependent visa allows for up to 28 hrs/week of work.
He will need to apply for this permission upon to work upon entering the country.
Do you mean you plan to get a job and your husband will be coming along with you on a dependent visa? In that case his work will be limited to 28 hours a week. He is free to keep his job, he just has to keep his work hours under the dependent visa requirement and file taxes in Japan for the income he generates while in Japan.
