Do you know any visually impaired Japanese speakers with a braille display?

I am visually impaired, and I recently purchased a braille display, which should arrive by tomorrow. I’m using it to learn how to read better, but I figured I’d also use it for reading and writing Japanese.

What I want to know about is the kanji. You don’t actually write Kanji in braille; it’s all Hiragana, as I’m told. How would I know if I’m choosing the right kanji? Will my screen reader show the list of available candidates in braille in a way that’s easy to understand?

I’m using the NVDA screen reader. There is a screen reader made for Japanese users called PC Talker, but I could never quite figure out how to use it, and it costs money that I don’t have. If you know any blind people that use a braille display in Japanese that could help me out, or if there’s anything like a forum or Reddit community for visually impaired Japanese speakers, please do let me know. I’ve been searching for a community, but I haven’t found one yet.
