Hi, I have a best friend living in North America and he wants to gift me JP Amazon Gift cards, yet is that possible?
Just to be clearer, he wants to buy a JP Amazon gift card while in America and send the JP code to me in Japan. Can this happen? If so then how?

Send them a wishlist link.
Or some are probably digital
Digital card off amazon.jp is easy. I’ve done a few of them.
Yes, it’s possible. Your friend needs to make an account on Amazon Japan, then buy a gift card and have it delivered/assigned to you. He cannot use an account from another country to do it.
He just needs to create a Japanese Amazon account, Amazon doesn’t care. I often buy stuff from the US site and get it delivered because it’s massively cheaper than the resellers.
1. Friend creates [Amazon.co.jp](https://Amazon.co.jp) account
2. Friend buys [Amazon.co.jp](https://Amazon.co.jp) e-gift card
3. Friend sends you said [Amazon.co.jp](https://Amazon.co.jp) e-gift card
It needs to be purchased from [Amazon.co.jp](https://Amazon.co.jp), if the e-gift card is purchased from Amazon.com it will not work for Japan Amazon.
