PR application in Saitama office

Hello everyone,
I saw that only Saitama residents can go to the immigration office there since April.
Did someone went recently?
I can make it tomorrow after 13:00 but I’m afraid I don’t make it on time to do my PR application (it closes at 16 so I can wait there 3h at best).

Is there a difference of speed applying in Saitama rather than Shinagawa to get the papers proceeded and know the outcome?

    I’m fairly certain that it’s the acceptance of new arrivals closes at 16:00. If you’re already in the queue, you can stay until you’ve been processed.

  2. The guy at Tachikawa told me that only Shinagawa processes PR apps. Meaning you can turn in your app at Saitama, but it’s going to get sent to Shinagawa with PR apps from all over the country, so your wait time won’t be any different. He also said if I had questions on my PR app, I have to contact Shinagawa office not the Tachikawa one.
