How do I say “Art” for something like the drawings in a game

1. My first thought was that just 絵 would be good enough, but doing some searching online it seems like 挿絵 and even イラスト could work as well. Any of them should help you get the message across fine.

   美術 and 芸術 are more like art in general. Like “Fine arts” or “the arts”

   Edit: I misread the post and thought you had said illustrations for a light novel. But since it’s a visual novel, I’m not sure 挿絵 would work. Either 絵 or イラスト would still be fine, I think.

3. I would definitely Go with イラスト I see it so often in this context

4. I think this isn’t what you’re asking, but it might also be helpful to know that 画像 is the generic word for a digital image, and 映像 is an image in general
