Title, but more details here.
Does anyone have any advice for Japanese music to listen to? I’m not asking because of listening-practice, but instead more just general advice for music with easy to discern lyrics for general immersion

EDIT: Sorry if it’s the wrong flair for this kind of question

Song lyrics are generally pretty hard to decipher, mostly because it’s poetic words, allegories, imagery, obscure references … Really depends on the song of course.
Something like Inoue Yousui – Kasa ga nai https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bnEX9lJACKU has pretty easy to understand lyrics, the poor guy is walking through the rain and he doesn’t have an umbrella.
Then you have Omaru Polka – Po https://youtu.be/TGJ9-1LWFtE and the message gets deep enough you can probably write a doctoral thesis about it.
Most anime songs are incredibly easy to listen to, that’s a good place to start.
As for personal taste I will recommend:

The First Take youtube channel, [https://www.youtube.com/@The_FirstTake](https://www.youtube.com/@The_FirstTake), showcases a wide variety of Japanese bands, so it’s a convenient place to find new bands and singers to listen to.
