  1. I know that Ospreay vs Bailey was scheduled for Multiverse United, but with Speedball beating Hiromu here, I’d really love to see the main event of Multiverse United 2 be Bailey vs Hiromu for the Junior Heavyweight Championship (if Hiromu still has it after Dominion), especially with the USA Jr Festival the night before. Just feels like that weekend in Philly could be built around a great showcase for the Juniors.

  2. Isn’t Bailey’s finisher the Flamingo Driver? Not sure but I do remember watching some of his matches last year and the knee drop only got a 2 count.

  3. Damn, Speedball getting the W over Hiromu on night 1 is fucking huge. So happy for Bailey.

  4. I watch Impact every week but that might just be the best I’ve seen Mike Bailey look! Super happy for him.. he was crazy over with that crowd

  5. NJPW always brings the best out of the wrestlers.. Bailey is already super talented and super over wherever he goes, it seems it’s going to continue in japan as well.

  6. Kinda weird how US centric NJPW is. This man had a run in Japan but only when he got to the US indies did he get a chance for the BOSJ.

  7. God I’m so happy the crowds are back and rocking in Japan these days. Few things in wrestling are better than a molten hot crowd at Korakuen Hall!

  8. Goddamn Speedball is having such an incredible run this past year. Dude is amazing.

  9. Holy shit speedball! With all the new recognition this dude has been getting I think it’s only a matter of time before he signs up with NJPW or AEW. Speedball is too good not be in front of bigger crowds.

  10. I had never heard of Bailey before he was announced

After watching today’s card, holy hell I just became a Speedball fan

  11. This felt like a big moment. Bailey has the talent and potential to be an Omega/Ospreay level figure, were he to decide to steer his career toward New Japan, and he made a statement with that promo, even demonstrating his language skills. Very excited to follow his run in the tournament this year.

  12. Might have to change my pick after that Main event. Love Speedball thrilled to see him in this tournament finally

  13. You can tell they were both having a lot of fun. This match was a BLAST.

  14. He’s great in the ring, he’s ridiculously likeable, the crowd already pops for him, and he can speak a lot of Japanese. Pls Gedo, find his plane ticket back to the US and shred it.
