I recently finished the Japanese 1 course on LingoDeer and spent some time memorizing vocab words and their kanji using the app’s review tools, but I couldn’t figure a way to review the grammar or lessons besides simply re-doing every single lesson. Their knowledge cards are useful when I need to refer to something quickly, but just re-reading them doesn’t help me remember much.
I figured I should probably review with something besides the app since it and many other apps aren’t exactly a one stop shop, but after spending a fair amount of time researching I caved and decided to just ask what you’d all recommend. Things I struggle with are mostly grammar related, like conjugation, past/present/future, routine, etc… I’ve learned them all and generally recognize/understand them in a sentence, but when I need to think of how to say them in a sentence I just can’t remember it for the life of me. Thanks in advance!

* maybe the genki online workbook (google for “genki online workbook”) but it might be too hard or too easy for you , not sure
* reading a lot re-enforces grammar among other things
I find written practice to be a great way to help automatize conjugations. Doing a workbook like Genki or Minna no Nihongo could be helpful. I’m not sure how LingoDeer works, but I find using the grammar to be the best way to help me remember it. Imo, Genki’s workbook requires a bit more higher level thinking and creating your own sentences, while MNN has more practice problems and repetition, which can be helpful for cementing concepts
