Working for World Intec (dispatch worker) in R&D and scientific research. How is it?

Twice during job hunting I was suggested work with World Intec RD (research, pharma, technical development focused) by recruiters.

I’ve heard terrible stories about working for dispatch companies in factory or office jobs, and heard great experiences from people in IT. But how does it work for people in R&D and scientific research?

If anyone have that experience or know about it, could you share a word about it?

  1. I don’t have a ton of experience but I’ve interviewed for a dispatch R&D job before and have known dispatch researchers. If you’re a researcher that has lead or co-lead your own work, I’m not sure I would recommend it unless you really can’t find anything else.

Pay is low, the work is likely to be technician-level, particularly in a large company, and you’ll probably to deal with all the usual dispatch headaches like review meetings.

On the other hand, in R&D at least it seems that there’s a better chance of getting made permanent after or even before the 3 years are up, if there is still work for you. A company is less likely to want to go through all the hassle of training a new person in highly specialised hands on work while paying the dispatch company its cut.
