I have a friend who was told they would be starting as an ALT this upcoming spring in Kawasaki, but now we’ve heard that the dispatch is telling all the teachers to stay home and not go to school? I also heard some things about the dispatch’s circumstances, but nothing concrete.
Friend is very concerned and I can’t seem to find anymore information. Anyone know anything?

School graduations were going on yesterday so it could’ve been that.
ALTs don’t have to be present for the ceremony
Yeah it’s definitely over the graduations… dispatch companies have an exact number of days that ALTs are provided to schools. If it was this last minute then someone must have realised you (or everyone) had worked an extra day this year and that needed to be pulled back.
