Need help from someone in Japan to find elusive music album

Hello! I’ve been looking everywhere for Shigeaki Saegusa’s OST for the 1984 Musashi taiga drama, with no success. I couldn’t find it to purchase or download, though the fact I can’t read japanese could have a huge part on that. I’m actually not absolutely sure it was ever released in album format, as I really couldn’t find any info on it, though it’s hard to believe it.

Could someone from Japan help me out with this? Does this album exist? If it does, how much does it cost to buy a physical or digital copy in Japan?

Thank you in advance!

  1. I see a number of used soundtrack CDs on Amazon Japan but it says composed by Ennio Morricone. Maybe that was a remake or something?

  2. I’m might be mislead here, but according to the [Wikipedia page](https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%AE%AE%E6%9C%AC%E6%AD%A6%E8%94%B5_(NHK%E6%96%B0%E5%A4%A7%E5%9E%8B%E6%99%82%E4%BB%A3%E5%8A%87)#%E3%82%BD%E3%83%95%E3%83%88%E3%82%A6%E3%82%A7%E3%82%A2%EF%BC%88DVD-BOX%EF%BC%89), it (“Overture FIVE RINGS”) was performed in the 33rd All Japan Wind Band Competition (1985), and as such, it does appear on the [this recording on the event](https://www.brain-shop.net/shop/g/gB985301/) 15 times – though I’m not sure which of those performances, if any, are the one used in the show.

Edit: There’s a few albums listed [on this page](http://cinemamusicnovel.blog110.fc2.com/blog-entry-33.html?sp). While the links are dead, the album names appear correct. [This album on Amazon Japan has it](https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E5%90%B9%E5%A5%8F%E6%A5%BD%E3%82%B3%E3%83%B3%E3%82%AF%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AB%E8%AA%B2%E9%A1%8C%E6%9B%B2%E9%9B%86-Vol-4-%E5%90%B9%E5%A5%8F%E6%A5%BD/dp/B00005G81B), though again, I can’t be sure it’s the exact same recording as used as the theme.

  3. Contact any Disk Union store. They are online too but calling or going there will be faster.
