Tokyo Toyota dealerships

I am going to Tokyo shortly and am wanting to find a local Tokyo dealership so I can get a factory key cut for my Celica as I only have a valet key and no key code .. the Canadian dealerships can’t do it as it’s a RHD JDM Model. . any ideas ??

  1. I can tell you that a good key cutter at a dealership could. But that doesn’t help you.

  2. You normally can’t get a replacement key in Japan, either, without a key code. In any case, Toyota dealerships are everywhere in Japan, they’re like McDonalds in the US. You shouldn’t have much trouble finding one.

  3. I’m assuming a 90s Toyota, if so, the key code will be stamped to the lock cylinder. You’ll just have to remove it from your door handle to check it. Here’s an example of the process from a 90s Prado.

Also, you can get a replacement key from amayama.com and they’ll ship anywhere. I say all this, to go prepared, as I’ve found some difficulties getting older parts quickly and don’t know what timeframe you’re working with travel wise.
